Reuse! don't refuse

Choose to Re-use

We have become so used to throwing things away without a second thought. However, many household items can be used over and over again. It's an easy option too, just try to buy 2nd hand things more often - think "do I really need a new one?"

Think again and use again.

A number of local community organisations will pass on your unwanted furniture, electrical items, bicycle and other household item to people in need or make them available at low cost.

Many of these organisations offer household goods that are affordable to people on low incomes.  They often also have other social benefits such as providing support to adults with disabilities, offering employment and training, giving education and guidance to disaffected teenagers.

Re-use extends the life of products and prevents resources from going to landfill.  It can also save energy and raw materials.
